I recently purchased the boat and found the bow navigation light not working. the rocker switch when switched down lights up the clear mast on the stern but the navigation lights on the bow does not light. when switching the rocker switch up, the navigation light on the bow does not light and the clear mast light on the stern goes off.. Fixed!!! bow nav lights not working (but stern is!) ok, after reading all of your gracious responses i went out and checked the bow nav light bulbs. they looked fine. i then grabbed a beer and sat down, staring at the boat, and thinking through how the lights go from the switch to each light (bow lights are separate, port/starboard).. My green nav light is not working. i looked at the bulb and it dosen't appear to be burnt out. my red light works fine so i assume that should rule out a blown fuse..
Hello, i am a new owner so please go easy. i just bought a 1998 2130 and the only complaint i have is that i can't get the running lights to work.. This modification does not meet md regulations for navigation lights. if you have any questions please ask them in the comments. i work full time and fish when i can.. On older boats you may find wires with chafed insulation that are touching or a screw may have penetrated them as components have been added over the years. attachment 988 short circuits normally trip circuit breakers and the load item does not work, for instance in the example above the light is not working. ground fault (leak).
